A little about us

Most people agree that having paella at their party is unusual, different and exciting, but the thing is that most people do not really know what genuine paella tastes like. With our recipes, we can guarantee the authentic and delicious taste as well as the quality that we have learnt throughout the years.

All of our paellas are prepared on site using onions, green and red peppers, fresh tomatoes and broad beans. The rest is determined by the typical flavouring and seasoning: garlic, saffron, pimenton (Spanish smoked paprika) and olive oil. All the paellas use the authentic bomba rice from the Valencia area.

Paella Party had a successful 2011 year, catering for previous clients, friends and family of our regulars and also lots of new clients. This year, one particular customer who is Spanish descendant requested an authentic paella as his Spanish relatives had came all the way to the United Kingdom join his party. So, for this occasion I offered Paella Valenciana (Valencian paella) garnished with Sussex wild rabbit, garrafón (farmhouse kidney beans) and free range chicken. Having achieved a big popularity with all of the guests that were present, it has now been added to The Menu for 2012.

Another new tasty paella added to The Menu, was requested by a customer who had tried, as a guest in one occasion, one of our paellas. For his own party he requested that we use lamb. We looked at recipes in books and on the internet without any sign of a lamb paella. Therefore, we created a new red meat paella using very lean pieces of best Sussex lamb and free range chicken with the traditional flavourings of fresh rosemary and bay leaves to compliment the lamb. It was a success and was highly praised by the guests. Lamb paella is an aromatic dish for those who prefer the sweetness of the red meat instead of pork or shellfish.

In 2011 the fish paella with fresh locally caught monkfish was an enjoyment for the fish lovers. All of its fish zest and the crustacean juices release all of the flavour into the rice and blend very well with the spices and vegetables used. For a premier fish paella, fresh lobster can also be added to this dish at an additional charge. (Lobster has to be live prior to cooking and adding to the paella so requires extra preparation on site).

After a thriving 2011 as well as previous years, we shall carry on giving our personal yet professional service to our existing and future customers during 2012. We do not wish to expand our business further as we would like to keep it small and family-run, to offer our expertise and to maintain the control in our craft.

A significant piece of news has to be broadcast, "Paella Party is now sponsoring the Seaford F.C. under 16s team" because we have faith in our local sportsmen and their visions. So, come on boys, let’s crack it together.
